Lake Travis Fishing Report

On the water · March 26, 2007

Fishing was good with plenty of swimmers up to 3.5 lbs on Travis and up to 4 lbs on Austin. We started out on Travis and found fish halfway back in coves and pockets. The weather was decent starting out on Travis but was pretty much raining the whole time on Austin in the afternoon. The best fish on Travis was a nice 3-3.5 lb male that came on a jerkbait. Others came on a trap and dropshots. Lake Austin produced our best fish, several fat females full of eggs. We caught them mostly on spinnerbaits with a few on jerkbaits and traps. We caught fish from 2 feet down to 10-12 feet.
